Hello, dear Fiends/Fiendettes! So sorry it has taken so long to provide an update on Buffin’s condition, but, as you can surely understand, it is not easy for the family to discuss.
I just heard from a family member yesterday, and I want to share forward some info on Dale. Dale seems to vary a lot every time they see him.
“Sometimes he is quite agitated and looks very concerned about something, other times he sleeps virtually the whole time we are there and occasionally he is quite alert and happy. Fortunately, the latter was the case last Sunday, he was smiley and even chuckled a few times. It is so lovely to see him like that, as we can see more of the old Dale. He did have a fall, in his room last week and bashed his nose, they thought, at first, that he may have broken it (again) but that doesn’t seem to be the case. He’s had it in for that poor nose since he was a little lad! He does wander around a lot, especially when he seems agitated and sometimes can be a bit unsteady on his feet, so I suppose that kind of thing is inevitable.”
Unfortunately, Dale’s condition is such that he now requires 24/7 professional care. He is well taken care of, but this must be terribly hard for his beloved family, band mates and friends to deal with. On behalf of Dale’s family, I thank you all for your support, concern and kind words. Please keep Dale and his loved ones in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.
