The Tour
Ian Hunter and Mick Ralphs just finished up the Taking The Mick Tour, which marks the first time the pair have performed together in 29 years. Accompanying Ian and Mick in the Rant Band were familiar faces from Ian's previous UK tours:
| Ian Hunter | vocals, guitar, piano |
| Mick Ralphs | guitar |
| Andy York | guitar |
| Gus Goad | bass |
| Ian Gibbons | keyboards |
| Steve Holley | drums |
The shows included a new Ian Hunter song called Twisted Steel, which was first unveiled at Ian's Oslo gigs in January. Mick Ralphs performed a blistering version of the instrumental 'Hideaway' (from his latest solo album, It's All Good), and a cover of Dylan's Knocking on Heaven's Door was added midway through the tour.
The rest of the songs performed on the tour included material from Ian's latest album Rant, as well as a number of Ian Hunter and Mott The Hoople classics: One of the Boys, Once Bitten Twice Shy, Good Samaritan, American Spy, Purgatory, Walkin' With a Mountain, Death of a Nation, 23A Swan Hill, Wash Us Away, The Original Mixed Up Kid, Michael Picasso, Rock and Roll Queen, Death May Be Your Santa Claus, Roll Away The Stone, All The Young Dudes, Dead Man Walkin', All The Way From Memphis, The Golden Age of Rock n' Roll, and Keep a' Knockin'.
